While you're trying to decide whether or not to buy a Galaxy S9, we thought you'd want to hear about two offers that'll be available at Verizon and Sprint. Both carriers will allow you to save up to $500 on an S9 or S9+, but only in certain conditions.
At Verizon, you can get up to $350 credit - applied over 24 months - if you trade-in an old smartphone for a Galaxy S9, plus a $150 prepaid card if you port-in a number (naturally, this means a new line activation is required).
Sprint also offers up to $350 credit with a trade in, but it looks like this is available only if you lease a Galaxy S9 or S9+ on Sprint Flex for 18 months (a lease means you don't get to keep the phone after 18 months unless you're paying extra, but you can easily upgrade to a newer model). According to Sprint, when you trade in an eligible device, you can lease a Galaxy S9 for as low as $13.55 per month, and a Galaxy S9+ for as low as $18.55 per month. Similar to Verizon, Sprint is also offering a $150 prepaid card to folks who switch and port a number (new line obviously required).
Both Verizon and Sprint will accept pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S9 series starting 12:01 a.m. ET on Friday, March 2 - that's tomorrow. The phones will come in three color variants: Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. So, do you plan to buy an S9 or S9+ via any of these two carriers?
