Google itself published this image showing what's inside the Pixel 4 forehead
Both Pixel models will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, and no matter how hard you cross your fingers, it doesn't appear that Google will equip the phones with the overclocked Snapdragon 855+. The average consumer on the street probably wouldn't notice a difference, but the mobile game playing semi-pro might see the 15% improvement in the performance of the Adreno 640 graphics processor that accompanies the "+" chip. For the first time since dinosaurs roamed the earth, the Pixels will ship with more than 4GB of RAM. The new models will have 6GB of memory and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The Pixel 4 will sport a 2800mAh capacity battery while a 3700mAh capacity battery will keep the Pixel 4 XL's lights on.
Thanks to the popularity of the mid-range Pixel models, Google's handset line has some momentum
The Pixel 4 should feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2280 resolution. That works out to an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Pixel 4 XL is expected to carry a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 3040 resolution, also a 19:9 aspect ratio. Both models will have a square camera module in the back with a 12MP primary camera and a 16MP telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom. The Pixel 4 XL could add a spectral sensor that will capture images of X-rays, ultraviolet rays and infrared beams; these are things that the human eye normally cannot see.
Google promotes the Oh so Orange Pixel 4 in Times Square
Google will reportedly produce 8 million to 10 million Pixel units this year, double the number manufactured last year. In 2018, 4.7 million Pixels were sold, 70% of them in the U.S. And while Pixel 3 shipments were nothing to write home about, the introduction of the mid-range Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL helped make the Pixel brand one of the fastest-growing smartphone names in the U.S. Second-quarter sales of Pixel handsets soared 88% during the second quarter on a year-over-year basis. That was second only to the 152% gain in Q2 stateside sales scored by OnePlus. With momentum on its side, Google is hoping that the Pixel 4 series will be considered in the same smartphone tier in the U.S. that includes the iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy flagship devices.ncG1vNJzZmivp6x7sbTOp5yaqpWjrm%2BvzqZmp52nqHyRtdeeo2ZsXZi8rbvRrGSippOhwqWxjKagoKCkYravr8uum55lf516tLuMiKmappearKqwkGpwamto
